Internet of Things | Future Scope | Salary status of an IoT professional in India
##If you already know about IoT then according to me please directly jump on the Future Scope, Payscale and research area part, because it will definitely help you to choose your carrier##

If you are thinking i.e. the Internet, then you are absolutely right. The Internet can be a medium between our mind and the things around us, which we want to control.
Basically, if you want to learn what is the Internet of thing. Just follow this article. At last, we will do a project together for a more better understanding and practical knowledge.
At last, I will tell you some real-life problems and my own solution for this. And it will really help you with any Hackathon.
At last, I will discuss some research areas regarding this technology.
And also I will let you know what is the pay scale of an IoT engineer.
First of all, we will discuss why we need the Internet. Because we are controlling our various things already with remotes, phones or fingers. If we will introduce the Internet everywhere, what type of benefit we will get throughout the whole process or after the process.
For understanding this...
Just answer me a question, what you will do when you need a cab at your home outside.
Sure, you will take the help of the Internet to call the cab.
One more, what you will do when you are very tired, you have just came from your respective college and also you are hungry?
Surely, you will open the app zomato (*I am not sponsored by zomato, if you want to use swiggy then use it*) or any other application where you find a cashback deal or any other good offer and you will order it. Again you are taking the help of the Internet.
**By the way, if you are ordering pizza or any food don't forget about me.**
Last one, because we are engineers and we are not that legends who is made for like "studying for the exam from the one month before". So, we like to take the help of GG (Google God) in the last couple of hours for getting only passing marks. Again we are depending on the Internet.
We are doing almost everything with the help of the Internet because it is fast, reliable, easily accessible and many more.
**Aur uper se Ambaani ji ka ashirwaad bhi toh hn**
**India me roti se sasta Intenet hn**
If we are already dependent towards the Internet for food, cab, tutorials, communication, learning, food recipes and what not. So why we are not controlling our things with the Internet, they can be operated more easily, more quickly, more smartly and what not. If you will use the Internet for accomplishing every work or fulfill every requirement then various types of benefits can be seen in our life.
Benefits and luxuriousness of IoT:
- You can control anything. Any home appliances, Industrial Machine or any device which you use daily.
- M2M (Machine to Machine) Communication ** This technology will discuss later in this article**\
- Automation and Control device as we discuss in the first point.
- Getting Information from sensors which we have connected from the Internet. (Use in smart healthcare and smart vehicle, will be discussed later in this section)
- Saves Money, Time and human efforts. (How? will be discussed later)
- Your life will be like Zinghalala.
- Security of data which we are transmitting to other nodes.
- Complexity will be made with the help of rush created on the internet. Or you can say overloading.
- Your privacy is a major issue.
- And the hazardous issue if you are a Redmi user.
The actual definition of IoT: It generally refers to scenarios where network connectivity and computing capability extends to object and sensors and everyday items except the PCs and all.
Which allow these devices to exchange, consume or even generate the data for human interpretation.
So I think now you are able to relate the IoT. Connecting everything to the Internet for data flow as you want.
Now, for better understanding, we should do a real-life project. Which we can implement in our home or office.
So the project name is Google assistant controlled Home automation
Introduction: This is a very basic project in which you will control your home/office appliances with the help of the Internet.
What will you done and how??
Let's get started...
First of all components, you need...
- ESP8266 Node MCU
- Relay Module
- Some Connecting Wires
- Breadboard
- A Laptop with Arduino IDE
- Our Oxygen i.e. Internet
- Hard work
- Dedication
- Passion
- And the last thing i.e. izzat
For connecting our appliances to the internet we have to connect these things to the Node MCU, and then Node MCU will be connected to the internet. So indirectly our lights and fans will be connected to the Internet.
A node MCU is a wifi module, which is consist of a wifi setup in it and have the ability to control itself over the internet.
Wanna know more about ESP8266. Go through this: Link
Why we are using a relay module. A relay module allows us to control AC operated appliances with the help of the DC signal. We can't on/off the AC appliances with the DC switches. So we need a medium between them. How it works? It is not that much important but instead of it if you wanna know more about Relay Module. Go through this Link
Because we are communicating with the blog, so I can't cover all the things. So you will need a video tutorial on this. I have made this project two times and I have also done various researches on IoT so I am sharing the best links of the tutorial. This doesn't mean that my responsibility to explain to you everything is now finished. If you are facing any type of problem then please tell me and ask me, then it will be a very good opportunity for me to help you.
So this is the link: GHA Tutorial
It's all about the project we have discussed yet. But our main part is what is the future and what is the research areas for IoT, pay scale as well.
Future Scope of IoT

In just one year, the devices are getting smarter every day through various other technologies. With the help of IoT, we can do the various task which will make us smarter our cities and homes will become smart also.
Smart City
The best future of the IoT making our cities smarter. How it can be done...
Let's discuss...
There are various ways to make our city smart.
The major part of our city is the road. For making our road smarter we can connect our traffic lights to the internet, from where it can be controlled wirelessly acceding to the numbers of cars, it will control the activating time of green light or red light.
Internet of cars is major in demand. Because if we are able to connect the cars with the help of the internet in real time. Then we can do V2V(Vehicle to Vehicle Communication) Communication, which can result in safety on road. For more information about V2V Go through this Link.
Smart Agriculture
Today, we totally depend on the agriculture industry for our daily energy. Somewhere our country's farmers are doing uncountable hard work that's why we are able to eat well and sleep well. So, now this is our responsibility to do something for them with our technical knowledge.
So I came up with an idea, i.e.
If we are able to monitor the climate condition of the field with the help of sensor and directly sends it to the mobile of the farmer. And with the help of Machine learning, we can predict the climate of some more next days and send it to the mobile of the farmer. It will really decrease the efforts of the farmer.
In other ways, we can measure the soil moisture with the help of a moisture sensor, rain with the help of the rain sensor and send it directly on the phone of the farmer. It will really help him to decide the next step.
And the last most important thing we can use neural networks and all with agriculture. For example, a farmer has to go in the whole field and he analyses all the crops i.e are they growing properly or not? or are they ready to pluck out? For answering, again I came up with an idea we will make a drone which will take the high definition picture of the crops and then those pictures will be sent to the cloud and there a machine learning tool will analyze it and tell us where the crops are ready to pluck out and where not?
And we can do much more with the help of the interconnection of IoT and ML, we will discuss it later in further articles.
Smart Health care
Healthcare is also an important topic which can't be ignored. And patient real-time health monitoring are on high demand I have also done also a project on this you can check out this on this link: Team Innovytech | HMRITM | Smart HealthCare
There are other also other factors on which we have to focus. For example, we can take the real time ECG of a driver which is driving a vehicle on a road, then it can be analyzed on the cloud and if any wrong thing detected then it will send an alert message to the driver i.e. " you are not in a condition for driving the vehicle". How it can be done, and how it can be implementing? It's a long story itself. So if you want to know more about it then just comment out below I will make a different article for that.
And many more...
Smart Education
In School and college, we can use IoT enabled Smart notice board. By which we can cast any information on the boards with the help of local wi-fi. Anytime it can be change and the information displayed on the board will be of high graphics, which will look great and attractive, which also make others see it once.
And many more things can be done with the help of IoT.
Pay Scale and Average salary of an IoT Engineer
According to a recent study 'IoT India salary Study 2017' which is carried out by IoT India Magazine. Which says that the IoT professionals are getting 76% more salary than an IT professional.
The median salary of an IoT professional is Rs. 15.2 lakhs and on the other side an IT professional Rs. 8.65 lakhs.
And also from the study, we came to know that the only 33% of IoT professional is getting under Rs. 6 lakhs of salary. On the other side, 58% of IT professionals are getting under Rs. 6 Lakhs of salary.
This study also highlights that the 16% of IoT professionals are getting in the bracket of 10-25 lakhs on the other side 17% IT professionals are in this bracket.
I think now you are cleared with the salary status of an IoT professional in India. Now, you have to decide what you will choose as a carrier.
Research areas in IoT

- Wireless Sensor networks are on high demand because we are moving toward the smart city so we need to connect the millions of devices to the internet which can get us the unstable data due to rush on the internet of many sensors. When millions of IoT devices are working simultaneously then we need a powerful algorithm which can stand over this. That algorithm, which is able to receive and transmit the data from the one node to another accurately.
- Security is the other major issue where you can get lots of fame if you are working in it and you are able to make a system which can transfer the data from the millions of devices cryptically.
- And there are more research areas but I will update all other later.
*And MOST IMPORTANT* if you want me to elaborate any point in this article more, then please let me know in the comment section and in the coming article, I will include them as well.
And I know I have skipped many things because everything can't be explained at one time. So what you have to do? Yo have to do just a comment about what you want next.
Please don't judge me I am not the writer I just want to share the information. If I am able to do it then I have done my work.
Thankyou
Vicky🤟
